Gizzie is the newest addition to our little family. We were at the EAA in Syracuse and there was a litter of pups for sale. Mike was completly smitten and we brought this little fella home. He is such a great puppy!
Scuttlebutt & The Bucko
I rescued Scuttle from a co-worker's yard in 2006. A stray momma cat had her litter under their storage shed. One by one they were crawling on and slipping under the cover of their in-ground pool. He was the last little baby left, and I had to crawl under their shed to get him. Bucko was found by my MOH the July before our wedding. She was driving home when she spotted what she thought was a styrofoam cup sitting on the double yellow line. As she got closer she realized it was a little kitty curled up sitting there. When she brought him to my house we realized he is completely deaf! Later that week we found an identical male kitten about a mile away from where Bucko was first seen. He was severely malnourished but recovered fully. We fear someone was driving around the area tossing them. How sad.
I've grown up in the horse world, showing competitively since I was four years old. I primarily breed and show Appaloosas but have ridden and shown numerous other breeds. Mike went to his first horse show with us late in the 2005 show season. We were running for year end championship points, and had to make a run to Oklahoma. We left Pennsylvania on Thursday driving straight through to Oklahoma City. We showed the weekend, leaving Sunday and driving straight through until we were home again. My Dad said he knew Mike was "the one" when he made that trip with us. I'm excited that Mike has started his show career this season. I'm so happy that he enjoys something that has been such a major part of my life.
